Masaya Hotels

Masaya Nicaragua is a quieter city and province than the capital of the country, and as such you aren't going to be finding any five star luxury resorts, or ritzy hotels in the area. If you are looking for a more quiet vacation, away from the hustle and bustle of big city life, and you don't mind a lack of nightlife, or noisy bars to hop around to, then Masaya is a perfect choice for you.

The fact that Masaya does not have any fancy or ritzy hotels or resorts should not discourage you from staying in the quaint “City of Flowers”. There are still many suitable Masaya Hotels and other lodging arrangements which should suit almost anyone's needs.

Here are a couple of places you can stay, when you are visiting the quaint, quiet and peaceful city of Masaya:

La Mariposa Spanish School and Eco Hotel:

This Masaya hotel is an excellent option for those of you who are looking to spend an extended amount of time in the amazing city of Masaya. It is located “From the BasketBallCourt, 200 meters south and 50 meters east” and is situated in the lovely neighborhood known as San Juan de la Concepcion.

Not only is this a fully functional hotel – OK it isn't ritzy, but the people are nice – but you can also take your time and engage in a multitude of volunteer opportunities, or you can enroll in one of the comprehensive and extensive Spanish courses that they offer on the side.

They have a wide variety of foods that they cook in their restaurant, from traditional Nicaraguan, to vegetarian, so you won't have any trouble with your menu requirements.

The pricing varies, but you should expect to pay anywhere from $20 USD to $35 USD per night, depending on the room that you get, and how many people are lodging with you. This price does not include breakfast, or the courses, so you should be prepared to bring pocket money for those things.

Hotel Casa Catarina:

This hotel is not located in the city of Masaya, but it is still in the province of Masaya, and is only about a 10 to 15 minute bus ride away from the city.

The Hotel Casa Catarina is a bit more trendy and exclusive than the other hotels in the area, and is located in the lovely village known as “Catarina”.

It boasts a marble jacuzzi, silent air conditioners, open courtyard and spectacular views. And you would expect something such as this to cost you an arm and a leg wouldn't you? Well, there's good news! A night in this fantastic Masaya Hotel will only run you between $55 USD to $95 USD a night! Of course a lot depends on the kind of room that you wish, and how many are in your party.

This is a perfect hotel for those of you who wish to get even further away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and want to relax with minimal of outside distractions.
